FOREWORD FROM THE COMMISSIONER
It is my honor and privilage to present this message on behalf of Tonga Fire and Emergency Services.
As Commissioner, I am proud to lead a dedicated team of men and women who serve our Kingdom with courage, commitment, and integrity. Every day, our firefighters and emergency personnel stand ready to respond to fires, road traffic accidents, hazardous incidents, natural disasters, and other emergencies that threaten lives, property, and our environment.
Our mission is to protect life, property and environment from fire and other emergencies not only to respond to emergencies but also to prevent them. We are commited to strengthening fire safety awareness, promoting community preparedness, and building partnership with government agencies, businesses, school, churches, and communities throughout Tonga. Prevention, education, and preparedness remain cental to our srtrategy in reducing risks and safeguarding our people.
The challenges we face continue to evolve from structure fires and vehicle incidents to climate-related emerencies and emerging risks in developing communities. In response, we are investing in training, equipment modernization, and international partnership to ensure our officers are equipped with the skills and resources necessary to serve effectively and professionally.
We recognize that effective emergency service is built on trust. We remain commited to transparency, accountability, and excellence in service delivery. Our goal is to provide a service that every citizen of Tonga can rely upon with confidence.
I extend my sincere appreciation to our officers, our partner, and the communities we serve for their contiuned support and cooperation. Together, we can build a safer and more reslient Tonga.
May God continue to bless our Kingdom and protect all who serve.
