RECRUIT FIRE FIGHTER APPLICATION FORM
Thank you for your interest in joining the Tonga Fire and Emergency Services as a Recruit Fire Fighter.
The Application Form is designed to collect important information about personal details, education background, employment history, medical fitness, and character references. Please ensure that all sections of the form are completed accurately and honestly.
How to Complete the Application Form.
- Read all instructions carefully before filling out the form.
- Complete every section clearly and neatly. If a section does not apply to you, write “N/A”.
- Provide accurate contact details so we can reach you if required.
- Attach all required supporting documents (e.g., copies of identification, certificates, and other relevant documents.
- Ensure the form is signed and dated before submission.
**Please note that incomplete or incorrect applications may not be considered.
Submission of Application
- Submit your completed Application Form together with all required documents to your nearest Fire Station before the closing date.
Selection Process
- All applicants will be reviewed after the closing date. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted and invited to attend an interview and any required assessments.
- Only successful applicants will be officially contacted following the interview process.

FIRE SAFETY RISK ASSESSMENT APPLICATION FORM
The Fire Safety Risk Assessment Form is an essential document designed to ensure that buildings, businesses, public venues, and development projects comply with fire safety and emergency preparedness set by Tonga Fire and Emergency Services (TFES).

Submission Instructions: 1. Applicants must complete all sections of this form clearly and accurately; 2. Applications for renewal inspections must be submitted at least 30 calendar days prior to the license expiry date; 3. A copy of the previous license (s) and a valid identification Card must be attached. |
**The floor plan must be provided and clearly showing the fire safety equipment and previous recommendations.
Assessment Process:
Once submitted, the application will:
- Be reviewed by a Fire Safety Officer from TFES
- Undergo Inspection if required.
- Be evaluated against fire safety standards and risk management guidelines.
- Receive recommendations, conditions, or approvals depending on compliance.
**Applicants may be advised to implement corrective measures before final approval is granted.

Confirmation Letter
A Fire Confirmation Letter is an official statement issued by the Tonga Fire & Emergency Services (TFES) verifying details of a fire incident at a specific property. It confirms the date, time, location, and circumstances of the fire, serving as proof for insurance claims, renewal of permits, financial assistances, or legal purposes.
How to Request a Confirmation Letter.
To obtain this letter after your house or property fire:
1.Submit a Request Letter and addressed to the Fire Commissioner. Include:
- Your full name, contact details, and address.
- Exact date, place, and time of the fire incident.
- Brief description of the event (e.g., “House fire at [address] on [date] at approximately [time]”).
2.Deliver the letter in person to Central Fire Station, Tofoa.
3.Requests are processed within 3-5 working days. TFES will contact you via phone or email once the letter is ready to pick-up.
