TFES was proud to host the Fire Investigation and Analysis program, delivered by the Metropolitan Fire Brigade (Melbourne).
The week-long program began on the 25 November 2019 and ended on the 29 November 2019 and focused on an introduction to fire investigation. Fire investigation is an integral part of any fire department as reviews of fire investigations assist fire departments with identifying fire trends and causes. This helps fire departments become proactive.
The program was designed by MFB to help agencies and agents gain the analytical skills, knowledge and experience to undertake fire investigations so that they may handle such cases as experts for their own agencies. This program is the first of its kind in Tonga and TFES was happy to invite and welcome participants from neighbouring Fiji and Samoa, as well as brothers from Tonga Police.
The FIA was a great opportunity to learn, network and make new friends across the Pacific.
